NLCIL posts 13.77% growth in revenue from operations

NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Coal, has posted a 13.77% growth in revenue from operations for the half-year ended September 2025.

The company had posted a revenue of ₹8,004.02 crore from operations as against ₹7,035.50 crore in the corresponding period last year.

According to a press release, the company had posted a net profit of ₹1,564.01 crore as against ₹1,549.10 crore in the previous year. NLCIL achieved coal production of 74.87 lakh tonnes registering a growth of 25.60% as compared to 59.61 lakh tonnes in the corresponding period last year.

Among the other key achievements were the successful commissioning of the first phase (52.83) MW of the 300 MW solar power project at Barsingar, Rajasthan, ground-breaking ceremony for NLCIL’s 600 MW solar power project at Khavada, and the synchronisation of Unit-2 (660 MW) of the Ghatampur Thermal Power project in Uttar Pradesh.

The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) to establish a pilot project in Neyveli for extracting rare earth elements from fly ash, grant of Consent to Operate to NUPPL’s Pachwara South Coal mines and permission for opening of mines accorded by Coal Controller Organisation CCO) were also among the high points.
