No statues to be relocated during Godavari riverfront works, says MP Purandeswari

Rajamahendravaram Member of Parliament D. Purandeswari on Tuesday announced that none of the statues of personalities located along the Godavari riverfront would be relocated during the ongoing ₹8 crore riverfront development project in Rajamahendravaram City. 

The statues of iconic personalities— actor Sobhana Babu, comedian Relangi, artist and director Bapu and Ramana, are all located along the banks of the river Godavari and fall within the riverfront project area. 

Accompanied by City MLA Adireddi Srinivas, Ms. Purandeswari inspected the ongoing riverfront works, including the construction of the new ghats with new designs and urban infrastructure facilities. The riverfront project is being executed by the Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation as part of the Godavari Pushkarams-2027.
