Nostalgia night dazzles with Kathak sufi!

Nearly 200 former students returned to their alma mater, the Cathedral Senior Secondary School, for an alumni meet marked by nostalgia and familiar warmth. The gathering brought together alumni from different generations, many of whom were visiting the campus after years.

They were seen walking through corridors they once crossed daily, revisiting classrooms, staircases, and open spaces that had been part of their routine during school years. The oldest alumnus present was Ashok Kumar Bhargava from the 1962 batch.

Adding a touch of fun to the evening were a few light-hearted contests and awards. Titles such as Mr and Mrs of the Event, Most Beautiful Lady of the Event, and Most Beautifully Dressed Couple of the Event drew cheerful participation and plenty of laughter. The main attraction of the evening was a beautiful Sufi performance by Kathak artist Surabhi Tandon and her team. Their graceful dance, mixed with the depth of Sufi music, won the hearts of the audience and reflected the rich artistic culture of Lucknow.— Manas Mishra
