Old Malakpet traffic diversion extended until 8 a.m. on June 2

The Hyderabad City Traffic Police has extended the ongoing traffic diversions around Old Malakpet until 8 a.m. on June 2, owing to continued drainage pipeline works near the Akbar Plaza building. Commuters heading through the Chaderghat and Malakpet corridors can expect restrictions and detours, with possible congestion in several central areas.

As per the advisory, vehicles coming from MGBS and Chaderghat Bridge will not be allowed towards Chaderghat X Roads or Malakpet. Similarly, traffic from Koti and Rangamahal via Chaderghat will be blocked from accessing Chaderghat Rotary, Chaderghat Chota Bridge and Malakpet.

RTC buses exiting MGBS and heading to Vijayawada, Suryapet, Nalgonda, and Khammam will be rerouted via Chaderghat X Roads – Nimboliadda – Amberpet new flyover – Ramanthapur – Uppal – LB Nagar, before joining the Vijayawada highway. Buses bound for Kalwakurthy, Devarakonda, and Srisailam will follow the same route.

Private travel buses have been asked to steer clear of the city limits until 8.00 a.m. on Monday.

City RTC buses en route to Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar, Saibaba Nagar, and Ibrahimpatnam will be diverted from Chaderghat X Roads via Nimboliadda, 6 No. Junction, New Golnaka Bridge, Moosarambagh RTA and Musarambagh X Roads. From there, they will either proceed left towards Dilsukhnagar or right towards Nalgonda X Roads, Chanchalguda, Saidabad and IS Sadan.

Traffic slowdowns are likely at MJ Market, Koti, Rang Mahal ‘X’ Roads, Chaderghat, SJ Rotary, Nimboliadda and Golnaka. Public is advised to use alternate routes and plan ahead.

Diversion points have been marked at MGBS rear gate, Chaderghat Rotary, Azampura X Roads, Malakpet Causeway, and key junctions in Malakpet, Kachiguda, and Amberpet.
