One killed in road accident in Musiri

A 35-year old man travelling along the Musiri-Thuraiyur Road was killed in a road accident on June 4.

A. Chellamuthu, 45, was driving with his wife on a moped on the highway when a van belonging to K. Suresh, 28, travelling in the opposite direction collided with the moped. Mr Chellamuthu suffered head injuries and was taken to the Musiri Government Hospital. Doctors declared him dead upon arrival, said the police.

A case had been booked and investigation by the Musiri police is under way.
