Schools have been given time until July 15 to submit their applications through the official online portal
Ahmedabad: The process for class expansion in granted secondary and higher secondary schools across Gujarat has officially begun with the commissioner of schools inviting online applications from schools seeking approval to increase divisions in Classes 9 and 10, as well as Classes 11 and 12, including sequential class expansion.Schools have been given time until July 15 to submit their applications through the official online portal. Authorities have clearly stated that applications will be accepted strictly through the online mode only. Any proposals submitted in hard copy or after the deadline will not be considered.After submission by schools, the district education officers (DEOs) will carry out verification and scrutiny of the applications.
This includes reviewing documents and conducting necessary inspections as per guidelines. DEOs must complete the verification process and submit their remarks online to the commissioner’s office by July 30, 2026.The education department has also issued strict instructions regarding documentation. Schools must upload all required supporting documents in clear and legible format while filling out the online form. Applications with incomplete information or unclear documents will be rejected without prior notice.Detailed guidelines and instructions for the application process have been made available on the official portal. The department aims to ensure transparency and efficiency in granting approvals for class expansion across the state.
