Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to organise the upcoming CII Partnership Summit-2025 in Visakhapatnam on the lines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Summit in Davos.
The plenary and breakout sessions should give priority for knowledge sharing, Mr. Naidu said in a review meeting on the mega event scheduled to be held in the Port City on November 14 and 15.
The Chief Minister suggested that focus be on positive policy making and emphasis laid on AI, semiconductors, health, innovation, R&D, space, drones, electronics, and medtech.
The deliberations should also cover smart manufacturing, logistics, connectivity, inland waterways, warehouse, cold storage, agritech, value addition in rare earth minerals, and the P-4 initiative.
Mr. Naidu said Visakhapatnam was poised to emerge as a global city with the establishment of the Google AI data centre.
Many companies were preferring investments in and around the Port City and the opportunities should not be wasted, he exhorted the officials.
“Priority has to be given to skill development and human resources,” Mr. Naidu said, adding that the officials should highlight economic corridors, industrial clusters, the capital city Amaravati, water security, futuristic work force, and technology-based good governance.
CII Director-General Chandrajit Banerjee took part in the discussion virtually. Industries Minister T.G. Bharat and Secretary (Industries) N. Yuvaraj were present.
