A couple of days ago, Orry shared a video where he called Lata Mangeshkar 'Lata Mangeshkari' and Phalguni Patak 'Phalguni Peacock'. This content didn’t go down well with many, including ‘Bigg Boss’ fame Rajiv Adatia, who made a video defending both the musical artists and highlighting that it is ‘not funny’ to mock the legends of India.
While speaking about the Late Lata Mangeshkar, he said she is one singer who paved the way for other Indian artists to perform on foreign soil. Following the post, on Monday, he shared another post, featuring an old video of him with Lata Ji and mentioned that he had to defend the singer’s name, not because “it needs defending, but needs to be protected from people who think it’s funny to Mock Legends!’
Rajiv Adatia shares an old video featuring Lata Mangeshkar
Sharing the video, which has a collage of pictures and clips, Rajiv highlighted that mocking legends is not funny and he had to write the post and defend Lata Mangeshkar because he couldn’t stand people using her name for attention.“Dear Lata Didi, recently, I had to defend Your name and Legacy not that it needs defending but needs to be protected from people who think it’s funny to Mock Legends! Your name is a name that represents devotion, discipline, and divinity when it was mocked I couldn’t stay silent. Because when people who mistake popularity for purpose or paid publicity for talent try to use your name for attention, it’s beyond shameful," Rajiv wrote.
Highlighting her achievements and how she was the real gem of India, Rajiv added, “You are the heartbeat of this nation, Didi. You sang “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon” for the soldiers who gave their lives for India. You moved the entire country to tears even the Prime Minister wept listening to you. You didn’t chase the spotlight; the light found you.You are Bharat Ratna a title earned, never purchased. A name respected, not promoted.
Some people may buy headlines, pose endlessly, and call it fame but real greatness is built on work, not on camera flashes. You never needed to stand next to others to shine your light was enough to illuminate generations.”
Rajiv Adatia explains why he stood up for Lata Mangeshkar
Rajiv explained why he stood up for Lata and shared, “I stood up for you, Didi not because you need defending, but because I refuse to let the shallow mock the sacred. You are proof that grace speaks louder than gossip, and that humility will always outlast hype.”He further mentioned that legends like her never fade as they ‘become the soul of a nation.’ “And while trends will come and go, your voice will forever remain the sound of truth, purity, and timeless art,” he added.
“It hurts to see people who mistake noise for success, who believe fame can be paid for rather than earned. They’ll never understand what it means to dedicate your life to something higher to your craft, to your calling, to your country,” he wrote, highlighting the recent events.
Rajiv Advait calls out the people who remained silent
Rajvir said that a lot of people decided not to speak on the matter, out of the fear of missing out. “Miss you more today as it just shows that the soul of Our Industry is being sold. No body wants to stand up and call out people in the name of fear. They fear they might not be invited to Parties! They will be out of a certain groups or clicks! Morals and Integrity sold just to be included not to shine,” he mentioned. “I just wanna say that your legacy and music lives within the people of the World! I’ve seen that they have stood up for you more than anyone! ❤️ just shows! Jaanta hai toh hum Hai! With love, respect, and adoration. I miss you,” concluded his post.
