Over ₹3.3 crore in cash, 700 litres of alcohol seized ahead of Jubilee Hills bypolls

Over ₹3.33 crore in cash and ₹1.97 lakh worth of contraband was seized by the police and Excise officials ahead of the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency as part of intensified checks ahead of the by-election, according to a cumulative seizure report released on Friday.

As per the cumulative seizure report released, 701.6 litres of liquor worth ₹4.74 lakh was seized during the checks since October 6. Of this, 162.195 litres was seized by the Excise department.

Authorities seized a total of 2.6 kilograms of ganja and 0.011 grams of MDMA, collectively valued at ₹1.97 lakh.

In addition, other seized items such as laptops, vehicles, cookers, and sarees were valued at ₹1.37 lakh.
