More than 7 million voters’ names have been removed after the Election Commission published the draft electoral roll under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Out of 50.8 million voters, 43.4 million voters registered.
As many as 50,963 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) conducted door-to-door visits to distribute enumeration forms and carry out voter mapping and matching.
Voters can now file objections and claims until January 18, 2026. Election officers will dispose of objections and claims by February 10, 2026.

Break-up of deleted voters:
- Deceased voters: 1,807,278
- Non-existent voters: 969,662
- Permanently shifted voters: 4,025,553
- Voters registered at two places: 381,470
- Others: 189,364
The draft electoral roll has also been published on the Chief Electoral Officer’s website (http://ceo.gujarat.gov.in), where voters can check their details.
To complete the Special Intensive Revision of the voter list within the stipulated time, 33 District Election Officers, 182 Electoral Registration Officers, 855 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, 50,963 BLOs, 54,443 BLAs, and 30,833 volunteers actively participated in the exercise.
