SSC and state police boards lead large-scale recruitmentThe Staff Selection Commission has announced 25,487 vacancies for Constable and Rifleman posts, with Class 10 as the minimum qualification. The application window remains open until December 31, 2025, and the recruitment process includes written and physical assessments.

State-level police recruitment boards have also released major notifications. The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board has invited applications for 13,591 posts, including Police Sub Inspector and Police Constable roles. Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has opened 41,424 Home Guard Volunteer vacancies, one of the largest ongoing drives in the uniformed services sector.Assam Police and SLPRB notifications expand opportunitiesThe State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam, has issued multiple notifications covering Constable, Driver Constable, Sub Inspector and Station Officer posts.

These vacancies require qualifications ranging from Class 12 to technical and professional degrees, depending on the post. The closing date for all SLPRB Assam Police applications is January 16, 2026.In addition, Assam Police has separately announced 1,715 Constable vacancies under a specified advertisement number, with eligibility for candidates who have passed Class 10 or Class 12.Territorial Army recruitment for soldier rolesThe Territorial Army has opened applications for 2,029 soldier and tradesmen posts across two notifications.
