Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), in collaboration with Jalandhar Skill Development Corporation (JSDC) in Punjab, has launched a special overseas placement drive for trailer and truck drivers who have returned from the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.).
The initiative has been launched under the Skill International Programme and the focus is on the districts of Kadapa, East Godavari and Visakhapatnam.
Managing Director and CEO of APSSDC G. Ganesh Kumar said the initiative is part of the A.P. government’s broader efforts to support re-employment opportunities for skilled returnees, particularly those with U.A.E. driving experience. The placements are being offered in Dubai through reputable employers including Tristar Group (ADNOC Project), Veolia, Allied Transport and Dubai Port. He also emphasised that districts such as Kadapa, East Godavari and Visakhapatnam have a significant number of skilled drivers who have returned from the U.A.E. and called upon district officials and local stakeholders to intensify mobilisation efforts to ensure these candidates benefit from this overseas opportunity.
