Micah Parsons’ agent David Mulugheta says the Dallas Cowboys were never told that Parsons would not play
On September 2, Stephen A. Smith asked David Mulugheta on ESPN’s First Take, “One more question, because Micah Parsons was quoted saying that he wanted to get this done, we can all imagine that he did. But we got the impression that he was prepared to sit out the season if it came to that. Was that ever something that you fanthomed, that you anticipated could potentially happen?”Mulugheta took a deep breath and said, “Never. I mean, Micah(Parsons) loves the game too much.
He was going to play no matter what. He had a back injury. I know a lot of people like to put quotations around the back injury, but he had a back injury. He was on medicine for it. The (Dallas)Cowboys physicians said he had a facet joint sprain, as well as Dr. (Robert)Watkins, who’s arguably the best back doctor in the country, spine doctor in the country.
So no, he had a real injury. But at no point did he plan on that, keeping him off the field.
The Cowboys were never told that he would not play. He always intended to play football. He was always going to be on the field Thursday to play against the (Philadelphia)Eagles. So I’m not sure exactly why that’s being said about Micah. Throughout his career, I think he’s missed fives in his entire career as a Cowboy. So I’m not sure where that came from. He’s played through many of injuries.” Out of the 68 games representing the Cowboys, Parsons played in 63.

A fourth fan mentioned, “Micah literally said in his press with GB that he was willing to take it there if he had to, what are we doing!?” A fifth fan commented, “Interesting to hear Mulugheta set the record straight. A player's health should always come before contract talks, and it's good to get that clarity. On the market side, it's a solid reminder that performance and health drive value, not just negotiations.”A fan called Mulugheta the Jerry Jones of NFL agents, “Folks i present to you the Jerry Jones of NFL agents. SMH.”Also Read: Philadelphia Eagles HC Nick Sirianni reveals ‘Peanut Punch’ as secret ingredient for Super Bowl LIX | NFL News - The Times of India
