AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Sunday asked his party functionaries to monitor the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI) in Tamil Nadu and participate in the exercise.

During a meeting of district level functionaries at the party head office in Chennai on Sunday, Mr. Palaniswami asked them to inform the party leadership of the status in their respective districts. The meeting also discussed steps to train booth-level agents in this regard.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Palaniswami chaired a meeting of the party's information technology wing functionaries. AIADMK deputy general secretary K.P. Munusamy, treasurer Dindigul C. Sreenivasan, deputy general secretary Natham R. Viswanathan, and headquarters secretary S.P. Velumani were among the key leaders who participated in the meeting.
