The Israel-Hamas war has been ongoing for 21 months, and Gaza’s Health Ministry recently revealed that more than 60,000 Palestinians have been killed so far in the conflict. Amid the war, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group on Thursday shared a video of an Israeli-German hostage, Rom Braslavski.

In October 2023, Braslavski was captured in the Gaza Strip—an incident that ignited a full-scale war in the region.

In the video, he looks pale and thin as he appeals to the Israeli government for help in securing his freedom. He appears weak, lying on the ground in Gaza while watching news coverage of the region’s hunger crisis.

Nearly 90 per cent of Gaza’s population has been uprooted as Israel’s offensive continues to destroy infrastructure and homes, driving the region toward an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, with famine increasingly seen as inevitable by experts.

Notably, this is not the first time that the Palestinian Islamic Jihad has released a video of Braslavski, 21.

A previous video released on April 16, shows him complaining about some medical issue that caused constant itching all over his body and pleading with both US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to assist in securing his release.
