All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Workers’ Rights Retrieval Kazhagam (AIADMWRRK) coordinator O. Panneerselvam and AMMK general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran on Friday (December 19, 2025) called upon the DMK government to resolve the issue of regularising the services of nurses in government hospitals.

Condemning the government for its attitude towards the problems of nurses, Mr. Panneerselvam observed that contrary to the electoral promise in 2021, that the services of all the nurses, who were on consolidated pay, would be made permanent, the DMK government, whose term was coming to a close in a few months, had only regularised the services of only 3,000 nurses.

Mr. Dhinakaran said that all the nurses, who were arrested during an agitation, should be released, and that the govenrment should call their representatives for talks to sort out their problem.
