Yogi Adityanath at a Bihar election rally
Patna: In a veiled attack at the top INDIA bloc leaders, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Monday said like Mahatma Gandhi’s three monkeys, the opposition alliance also had Pappu, Tappu and Appu, who can’t speak and hear truth, or see good.“You must have heard about Mahatma Gandhi’s three monkeys who taught us not to see, hear and speak evil. But today, the INDI Alliance has brought three others — Pappu, Tappu and Appu. Pappu can’t speak the truth, Tappu can’t see any good and Appu can’t hear the truth. These people cannot see the development done by the NDA govt. Therefore, they spread lies and misinformation. These are the same people who divide you on the basis of caste, invite infiltrators, tamper with your faith and then undermine national security,” he said, giving his “batenge to katenge” slogan in Bihar as well.“If we are divided, we will be cut. If we stay united, Bihar will become prosperous,” he said while addressing election rallies in Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur and Patna for the NDA candidates contesting Bihar assembly elections scheduled for Nov 6 and 11.In Patna’s Digha, the UP CM gave a call for choosing the NDA again for a “Golden Bihar”, highlighting road and rail connectivity, dry port and educational institutions like IIT and NIT. He said this election is also a campaign to advance the NDA govt’s work, while keeping in mind those people who had created a crisis of identity for the people of Bihar in the country.
He reminded the people that his govt in UP crushed mafias under bulldozer and sent them to “jahannum” (hell).“During the RJD’s rule, more than 70 massacres and caste riots took place. Only a double-engine govt can bring the winds of development,” he said, targeting the erstwhile RJD rule.He also targeted congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying he goes abroad and defames India.Referring to the connectivity between UP and Bihar, he said, “Darbhanga airport is connected to Ayodhya and Prayagraj via Haldia-Patna. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also honoured Mithila by establishing the Makhana Board.”
