Para teacher shot at in Palamu, hospitalized

Daltonganj: A 50-year-old para teacher, identified as Jamaluddin Ansari, was shot at by an unidentified miscreant in the Naudeeha Khajuri locality under the Chhaterpur police station limits on Wednesday evening.

The officer in-charge of Chhaterpur police station, Prashant Prasad, said Ansari sustained a bullet injury to his right hand. “His condition is stable,” Prasad said, quoting the doctors at the Chhaterpur subdivisional hospital. The motive behind the shooting of this para teacher is yet to be ascertained. Ansari works in a govt middle school at Naudeeha Khajuri.
