The Miami Dolphins don’t seem to be satisfied with their edge defenders’ lineup. Even if they have one of the strongest weapons under their belt, they are certainly looking for more.

Well, not just anyone, they look keen to bring in a veteran linebacker from their divisional rival. The star in question is none other than Matt Judon, who has been there as the most valuable free agent available in the NFL deep after scoring a below-average season stat for the Atlanta Falcons last year.

Matt Judon seems to pen a contract with the Dolphins

Judon, 33, was nowhere near his best for the past couple of years. He suffered a grave lower biceps injury during week 4 of the 2023 season.

After some checkups and treatments, he bounced back but couldn’t retain the standard. For the first two weeks (in 2024), he mounted 1.5 sacks, 12 tackles, two quarterback hits, and two tackles. In week 15, he scored his lowest, 42% of the defensive snaps. For obvious reasons, the Falcons moved on without signing a contract. But it looks like 2025 will be another game-changer for the superstar pass rusher. He isn’t washed up after all. Dolphins see right through the layers and seem to act on it pretty soon. NFL insider Jordan Schultz wrote on X, “Sources: The #Dolphins will host 4x Pro Bowl OLB Matthew Judon on a visit tomorrow.

“Miami has been exploring pass-rush options, and Judon — who had 5.5 sacks last season in Atlanta — brings 72 career sacks to the table.”Schultz added that Judon will visit on Monday and ‘’both parties are motivated to reach a deal.’’

Judon might not have an immediate record worthy of a promise, but his history with the Patriots speaks volumes. He clinched two of his Pro Bowl nods and also finished ninth in the NFL AP Defensive Player of the Year voting in 2022. He can still be a depth piece for the Super Bowl contender. But do the Patriots have any chance of getting him further? Will Matt Judon be back with the Patriots?Well, the former New England Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon is desperate to get his feet back in the business.

He doesn’t at all want his fans to forget his classics. He recently posted a clip of his shots during his tenure with the Patriots. In his first year with the Pats, Judon racked up 60 tackles, one fumble recovery, and 12.5 sacks. He broke his own records in 2022 with a career-high 15.5 sacks, two forced fumbles (recovering one), and 60 total tackles.Does he want these golden days back? Not specified, but Judon’s caption in his IG story clearly depicts that his heart is yearning to don those ‘red sleeves’ again. The four-time Pro Bowler might just have a momentary nostalgia drifting through his mind, but for fans, it’s nothing less than a tease to get back in Foxborough. However, in reality, it looks far-fetched in all likelihood. Also read: “Largely because of Taylor Swift”: Clark Hunt recalls rare moment Travis Kelce’s girlfriend refused VIP treatment | NFL News - Times of India
