Pawan Kalyan allocates ₹7 crore for 'Sapta Rishi' ghat in East Godavari

Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan has sanctioned ₹7 crore for developing infrastructure at Munikudali ghat, in Sitanagaram mandal as a model 'Pushkar' ghat in East Godavari district. The ghat was recently renamed by the Deputy Chief Minister as ‘Sapta Rishi’ ghat.

The decision follows a review of the Godavari Pushkarams-2027 preparation held on June 6, 2026 by Mr. Pawan Kalyan. The ₹7 crore includes development of ‘Sapta Rishi’ ghat, including renovation of the Sri Uma Parvathi Someswara Swamy temple and the Sri Venugopala Swamy temple in Munikudali village and the panchayat.

Additionally, tourism infrastructure, sewage management, accommodation and other facilities would be developed in Munikudali village.
