Pawan Kalyan launches ‘Sena Galam’ committee

The initiative, he said, is intended to uphold constitutional values, encourage responsible politics and amplify the aspirations of India’s younger generation, particularly Gen Z.

Amaravati: In a significant political move aimed at promoting social harmony and responsible public discourse, Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan has announced the formation of a new committee titled “Sena Galam”.

The initiative, he said, is intended to uphold constitutional values, encourage responsible politics and amplify the aspirations of India’s younger generation, particularly Gen Z.The announcement was made during a meeting on Sunday with key Jana Sena leaders, where Pawan Kalyan outlined the objectives and guiding principles of the committee. He stressed that contemporary politics must remain firmly rooted in the Constitution, respect all sections of society and safeguard national unity.Pawan Kalyan strongly criticised the growing tendency in politics to link the actions of individuals to the communities, castes or religions they belong to. He observed that in recent years, political debates have increasingly drifted toward caste-based and identity-driven narratives, creating unnecessary divisions within society. The Jana Sena chief made it clear that the newly formed Sena Galam committee would reject what he described as the outdated practice of responding to criticism through caste-based counterattacks.

He said political disagreements should be addressed based on facts, values and public interest rather than through social identities.According to Pawan Kalyan, some political leaders attempt to shield their mistakes by hiding behind caste, religion or regional sentiments, a trend that is increasingly being rejected by the younger generation. He emphasised that individual wrongdoing should be questioned at an individual level and should never be used as a reason to target an entire community.“Sena Galam will function as a platform that promotes social responsibility, progressive thinking and constructive political engagement,” he said.Pawan Kalyan noted that Jana Sena is committed to moving away from what he termed “outdated and divisive political practices” and towards a more inclusive, forward-looking political culture. The party, he added, aims to set an example of responsible politics that prioritizes social cohesion, constitutional values and national interest above narrow identities.
