Three doctors, including Dr Muzammil Ganaie, Adeel Ahmad Rather, and Shaheen Saeed, were arrested after 2,900 kg explosives linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed were found in Faridabad.

Three doctors, including two from Jammu and Kashmir, have been arrested in connection with the probe after 2,900 kilograms of explosives and inflammable material were recovered in Faridabad.

The explosives were recovered from the rented accommodation of Kashmiri doctor Dr Muzammil Ganaie on Monday, just a few hours before a blast killed 13 people near the Red Fort in New Delhi.

The preliminary probe into the Red Fort car blast has also suggested possible links to the alleged terror module uncovered in Faridabad, although these have not yet been confirmed by investigating agencies.

Eight people, including Dr Muzammil and two fellow doctors — Adeel Ahmad Rather and Shaheen Saeed — have been arrested for allegedly being part of a white-collar terror module involving the Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, spanning across Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, officials said.

All About Adeel Ahmad Rather

Adeel Ahmad Rather hails from Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir and was working as a teacher at the Al-Falah School of Medical Sciences & Research Centre in Faridabad. He was arrested in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly putting up posters in support of the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed in Srinagar.

Investigating agencies raided Dr Muzammil’s residence in Faridabad after obtaining crucial leads during Adeel’s interrogation.

Who Is Dr Muzammil Ganaie?

Dr Muzammil, a resident of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir, was employed at Al-Falah School. The police recovered 360 kg of ammonium nitrate and an additional 2,500 kg of explosive-making chemicals from his residence in Faridabad.

During the raid, officers also seized one Carom Cok rifle, two automatic pistols, and 84 cartridges.

How Is Dr Shaheen Saeed Connected to the Terror Module?

Dr Shaheen Saeed, a resident of Lucknow, was also working at Al-Falah School. Police said that a Krinkov assault rifle was found in her car, which was allegedly being used by Dr Muzammil.
