PM Modi arrives in Norway for historic visit, meets Indian community members

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Norway on the fourth leg of his five-nation tour, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the Nordic country in over forty years. The visit is part of a broader diplomatic outreach that includes the UAE, Netherlands, Sweden, and Italy, aimed at strengthening India's global partnerships amid geopolitical uncertainty. Upon arrival, the prime minister was welcomed by the Indian diaspora dressed in traditional attire. The visit coincides with the third India-Nordic Summit hosted by Norway. The Nordic region currently hosts around one hundred and fifty Indian companies, while over seven hundred Nordic companies operate in India, highlighting the strong economic ties between the two regions.
