Preparations began early in the morning, with visuals showing women rehearsing Garba dances near the roadshow venue.

Kashish Panchal, a Garba performer, shared her excitement: “We are all very excited to welcome PM Modi. Whatever he is doing for India is a matter of great happiness for us. We are going to perform ancient garba today."

A local attendee added: “No one else can do what Modi ji has done for the country in the last few years. By Operation Sindoor, we have shown India’s strength to the world. We have all come here to welcome and congratulate PM Modi."

On Monday evening, PM Modi had also held a roadshow in Ahmedabad after arriving from Bhuj in Kutch district, wrapping up the first day of his Gujarat visit.

This is PM Modi’s first visit to his home state since Operation Sindoor – India’s military response to the 22 April Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 people, mainly tourists, lost their lives. The attack was carried out by Pakistan-backed terrorists.
