PM Modi to inaugurate Chenab Rail Bridge and flag off Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat on June 6

1) Chenab Rail Bridge is a sky-high engineering wonder reaching 359 meters (1,178 ft) above the riverbed. It’s higher than the Eiffel Tower! Yes, you read that right. The bridge stands as a symbol of India's engineering prowess spanning 1,315 m. 2) This steel arch bridge will connect the Bakkal and Kauri villages in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir along with forming a major part of the ambitious Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL). 3) As per reports, this all-weather rail access is constructed in such a way that it will be able to endure extreme climatic and geological conditions, including earthquakes and wind speeds of up to 266 km/h. The bridge is designed for a lifespan of over 120 years.

Another huge achievement is the entry of Vande Bharat Express! The bridge’s inauguration will also see the launch of the Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express, India's flagship semi-high-speed train. This train will connect Jammu and Kashmir’s most visited destinations, like Katra and Srinagar to the rest of the country.Jammu and Kashmir has long been a favorite destination but due to limited and unpredictable transport options, the travel plans of people are often hindered. However, with the introduction of the new Vande Bharat train, this is about to change.
