INDORE: Preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Dhar on September 17 are well underway, highlighted by the successful trial landing of his special aircraft, Air India One Boeing 777, at Indore's Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport on Thursday.
The aircraft touched down safely, remained at the airport for approximately 20 minutes, and then departed for Delhi.According to airport officials, this trial landing was a crucial step for security and technical checks ahead of the Prime Minister's upcoming visit. Indore Airport's runway, which spans 2,754 meters, underwent significant upgrades two years ago to accommodate larger aircraft. The expansion of the runway's width and training points has made it possible for colossal planes like the Boeing 777 to land with ease.
The Boeing 777 measures 73.9 meters in length, 18.5 meters in height, and has a wingspan of 64.8 meters. This successful landing at the Indore Airport underscores the city's enhanced air capacity and readiness for high-profile operations. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive in Indore on September 17 and will then proceed to Dhar by helicopter.
