PM Narendra Modi turns 75: Microsoft founder Bill Gates shares wishes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 75 today, September 17, 2025. Microsoft founder and former CEO Bill Gates wished the PM via a video message. In the video shared by news agency ANI, Gates said “my best wishes to you on your 75th birthday.

I wish you good health and continued strength as you lead India's fantastic progress and contribute to global development.” He also highlighted that his Gates Foundation is working with the Indian government to support “progress towards Viksit Bharat and sharing lessons”.

Once again, my warmest wishes to you on this milestone occasion.In an interaction with Bill Gates earlier this year, PM said that technology is meant to empower people from all strata of the society and India has achieved democratisation of new technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) to help millions of people especially in rural parts of the country.

The Prime Minister said that he will not let digital divide affect people in the country and India's Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) is a shining example for the world. "I decided I will not allow digital divide in India, taking digital infrastructure to villages," said PM Modi to Gates.PM Modi said that for him, the best use of technology is in areas like healthcare, agriculture and education. "We have established 2 lakh 'Ayushman Arogya Mandir' across the country where people can get quality healthcare from medical specialists from best hospitals with the use of modern technology," PM Modi told Gates.
