PM's foreign trips cost Centre Rs 362 crore in 5 years, Rs 67 crore in 2025 alone

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's foreign visits between 2021 and 2025 cost the government nearly Rs 362 crore, according to data shared in the Rajya Sabha. In 2025 alone, over Rs 67 crore was spent on his visits to five countries, including high-profile trips to the United States and France.

The expenditure details were provided by Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh in response to a question from Trinamool MP Derek O’Brien.

As per the data, the most expensive trip in 2025 was to France, which cost over Rs 25 crore, followed by the United States, where the visit incurred an expenditure of over Rs 16 crore.
