If players are hoping to hunt for shiny Pokemon across all Dynamax battles during the event, the pass won’t actually help because the shiny increases are exclusive to special reward encounters from the pass.
As of now Niantic has not made any public clarification, but customer support messages and community feedback suggest this limitation is real and affecting many buyers’ experiences.
