Police Commemoration Day: cops remembered for ensuring public peace

Vizianagaram Superintendent of Police A.R. Damodar said that the great sacrifices by police personnel and soldiers has helped common citizens to live happy and peaceful lives. The SP along with Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy and District Judge M. Babitha, paid tributes to police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty marking Police Commemoration Day.

Speaking on the occasion, he recalled that many police officials and other personnel who were killed while fighting extremists and anti-social elements.

The SP distributed sweets and fruits to family members of deceased police personnel and assured them full support from the government.

Collector Ramsundar Reddy lauded the sacrifices of police personnel who serve in dangerous remote and forest areas for months away from their families.

Vizianagaram MLA Aditi Vijayalakshmi Gajapathi Raju, MLC Gade Srinivasula Naidu and others attended the event.
