Police, Excise officials destroy 2,900 liquor bottles

The Kaikalur police and the Prohibition and Excise officials destroyed 2,900 liquor bottles seized during a raid in 2023.

The illicit liquor was seized by the Excise and police officers, and produced in the court, said Eluru Superintendent of Police (SP) K. Pratap Shiva Kishore. After obtaining court orders, the liquor stocks were destroyed in the presence of Revenue and Excise department officials, said Eluru Deputy Superintendent of Police D. Sravan Kumar. “We have arrested three accused in the case, which is under investigation,” said Kaikalur SI R. Srinivas.
