Patna: A total of 8,025 trainee constables will be deployed in various districts to assist with maintaining law and order during the upcoming festivals, including Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, Anant Chaturdashi and Vishwakarma Puja, Bihar Police headquarters (PHQ) on Thursday issued the directive.Additional forces will be deployed in Gaya district during Pitrapaksh Mela to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims, with additional deployment of five battalions of Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP), two battalions each of horse troopers, tear gas, and bomb squad, while one battalion of anti-riot force, said additional director general (ADG), law and order, Pankaj Darad.“Peace committee meetings will be held at the police station, subdivisional and district levels before the festivals.
Forces and magistrates will be deployed at sensitive locations to maintain law and order. A police escort will be provided for the immersion procession of idols, and the deployment will be maintained until the participants return,” Darad said.The ADG added that 100% procession licences will be issued to ensure that all processions are conducted in an orderly manner. Videography will be conducted for sensitive processions to monitor any potential law and order issues. Administrative preparations, including the deployment of divers and rescue teams, will be made at ghats where idols will be immersed.
