These are typically used for land registration and legal agreements.”Contrary to initial reports of a robbery, the DSP clarified that the case is being treated as theft. “The complainant informed police that the bag containing the stamp papers was snatched from him.
We are verifying the accuracy of this claim, and a theft case has been registered,” Sah said. The location of the incident has raised concerns due to its proximity to key administrative offices, including the district court, commissioner/IG office, district collectorate, SSP office, and Civil Lines Police Station. DSP Sah assured that the case is being investigated thoroughly using scientific methods.Police are also examining whether the vendor was holding stamp papers within the permissible limit. “We are verifying the vendor’s holding capacity to determine if there was any excess,” Sah added, expressing confidence that the case would be resolved soon and the culprits brought to justice.
