Pondicherry University, Union social justice ministry sign MoU to safeguard disability rights

PUDUCHERRY: Pondicherry University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the office of the chief commissioner for persons with disabilities (CCPD), under the department of empowerment of persons with disabilities (DEPwD), Union social justice and empowerment ministry.

Through this partnership, both institutions aim to advance accessibility and inclusion for persons with disabilities by undertaking joint initiatives in research, internships, academic exchanges, conferences, and related scholarly activities. It will also create structured avenues for students and scholars of the university to engage meaningfully with the CCPD through practical exposure and academic contributions.
