Ponnam Prabhakar writes to Satavahana University VC, seeks proposals for upgrading infrastructure

Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar has urged Satavahana University vice-chancellor U. Umesh Kumar to prepare and submit Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and comprehensive proposals for upgrading the infrastructure in the varsity.

In a letter addressed to the VC, he said that the government has initiated efforts to strengthen higher education infrastructure. Development works amounting to ₹100 crore have been proposed for Satavahana University, Karimnagar, as part of this endeavour.

He underlined the need for sending proposals for priority works, including construction of essential civil structures, establishment of advanced research laboratories, development of synthetic track and playground facilities, construction of an open-air auditorium.

He noted that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has recently allocated ₹1,000 crore for the development of Osmania University.
