Rebel Star Prabhas' upcoming period drama, 'Fauzi,' directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is confirmed as a two-part series. The second installment will serve as a prequel, exploring a different dimension of Prabhas' soldier character and the untold stories from India's colonial past. The film also features a stellar cast and is slated for a 2026 release.

Rebel Star Prabhas is currently working with 'Sita Raman' fame director Hanu Raghavapudi for their upcoming period drama, 'Fauzi.' Recently, the director shared about the storyline of the film, announcing the movie will be a two-part series where the second part will serve as the prequel to the narrative.

Two-part structure confirmed

According to a report by PTI, the makers shared a press release in which Hanu Raghavapudi mentioned that the series will include two parts. The second part will "explore another dimension." The director shared that they have created 'Fauzi,' a two-part story, due to the depth and breadth of the world they were building. While the first film introduces one version of Prabhas' character, the second film will expand the universe in a surprising direction.

Director Hanu Raghavapudi on the film's vision

"We're portraying one world of Prabhas in this movie, and the second installment will explore another dimension. I've also woven in a few real-life experiences that inspired me personally," said the director, according to the statement quoted by the agency. Interestingly, Prabhas, after the mammoth success of 'Baahubali,' which in itself has two parts, has been part of a multiple-part film series.

He is also part of 'Kalki 2898 AD' and 'Salaar.'

Prabhas as a lone warrior in 'Fauzi'

In 'Fauzi,' Prabhas will be seen as a soldier who is like a "battalion who fights alone."
