Prajwal Revanna assigned prisoner number 15528 

Following the Special Court of Sessions for criminal cases against former and present MPs and MLAs convicting and sentencing Prajwal Revanna in a rape case, he was shifted to the convicts’ section in Parappana Agrahara Central Prison Complex on Saturday. He was given the prison inmate’s uniform with the number 15528, which he will have to wear henceforth.

Earlier, he was housed in a high-security cell as an undertrial and was allowed to wear a civil dress.

Prajwal Revanna will have to henceforth work for eight hours a day and can choose among working at the bakery, carpentry, gardening, animal husbandry, or crafts. He will be paid ₹524 per day in the first year, when he will be considered an unskilled labourer. The payment increases over the years when he becomes a skilled labourer, as per prison manual, sources said.
