Very few people in the fashion world turn their personal statement into a legacy, and Princess Diana was surely one of them. Capturing the sleek values of tradition and modernity during her era, she shaped her royal presence with utter grace and built a fashion legacy that still inspires today.Recently, her niece Lady Kitty Spencer shared a snapshot of herself at the Centrepoint’s annual fundraising event, which famously supported her late aunt, offering a look that took us back in time.

For the event, Lady Kitty wore a beautiful red Dolce & Gabbana coat, which had all the hallmarks of a red carpet event. Drenched in rich red with a structured shape, it featured gold buttons and a contrasting black collar.

She completed the look with long open blonde hair and black stockings and a sharp pair of black stilettos featuring striking golden beaded bows at the front.

She paired this with a luminous makeup look, featuring soft nude lips and a sharp winged eyeliner touch. With the striking red coat, straight blonde hair, and immaculate makeup, the diva bore a strong resemblance to her late aunt, looking almost like a sort of mirror image of Princess Diana.Lady Kitty’s designer coat looked just like the red blazer Princess Diana wore in 1995, which Ronit Zilkha designed. She wore a striking red two-piece featuring a short-length blazer with a contrasting black collar and completed it with a matching fitted skirt.

This skirt suit gained immense fame globally, as women began striding to the office in such a two-piece set, which looked absolutely chic and utterly poised.

These two ensembles are distinctively similar, with both featuring padded shoulders, striking colours, gold-tone buttons, and, of course, the contrasting black velvet collar. While Lady Kitty has a longer blazer frame with no pockets at the front, Princess Diana’s two-piece suit had striking black pockets which looked iconic against the red frame.Back in the day, Diana completed the look with a pair of black stockings, sleek, fitted black heels, and her favourite Lady Dior quilted black handbag. She wore a pair of subtle golden studs and stole the show back in the day. Although Lady Kitty hasn't publicly confirmed whether she sought inspiration from her late aunt, this particular outfit is surely the sweetest tribute, as Diana was mostly seen in spectacular coats, mainly at charity events during her days as a royal family member.
