It was a memorable night for Georgia’s KhvichaKvaratskhelia, as he made history by scoring a crucial goal against Inter Milan to help PSG secure their first UEFA Champions League title.

The winger was one of the goal scorers in Paris Saint-Germain’s commanding 5-0 victory over Inter Milan at Munich’s Allianz Arena, marking a significant milestone for the French club.

Kvaratskhelia netted the fourth goal of the match after receiving a pass from teammate Ousmane Dembele. Notably, he became the first Georgian player to score in a UCL final. Additionally, Kvaratskhelia set another impressive record, becoming the second player ever to achieve an individual quadruple.

With the UCL title, PSG completed their domestic treble. Meanwhile, Kvaratskhelia made his mark by winning four trophies with two different clubs in the 2024–25 season. Before joining PSG in January, Kvaratskhelia played 17 Serie A games for Napoli, scoring five times. His contributions helped Napoli clinch the Scudetto, earning him a Serie A winner’s medal. He then added the Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and Champions League titles with PSG.

The only other player to accomplish such a feat is Alvaro Odriozola. The Spanish full-back won La Liga with Real Madrid in the 2019–20 season before transferring to Bayern Munich, where he lifted the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and Champions League trophies.

Kvaratskhelia’s impressive performances, especially in Europe, have been crucial to PSG’s success this season. With four trophies already, he could potentially add a fifth in 2025 with the FIFA Club World Cup on the horizon.

“It is crazy to think that today I am a Champions League winner," Khvicha said in a post-match interview.

“It is a dream come true, I cannot describe it, crazy emotions."

“I think the team, we made this together because this is a crazy team, incredible. I am just happy to be one of them."

“I was very happy, I really wanted to come here. Today, we see it was the right choice, I am happy to be here with these amazing guys."

For PSG manager Luis Enrique, yesterday’s victory adds another chapter to his illustrious career. Overcoming early setbacks, including his release from Real Madrid as a youngster, he has achieved remarkable success, notably the 2015 treble with Barcelona, the club where he thrived both as a player and a coach.
