Public’s faith is greatest strength of judiciary: Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha said that the public’s faith is the greatest power and inspiration for the judiciary, adding that the High Court will continue to keep the lamp of justice, integrity, and service burning for generations to come.

He was addressing a gathering at the 25th Foundation Day celebration of the Chhattisgarh High Court on Saturday. The event marked 25 years since the court’s establishment, coinciding with the formation of the state on November 1, 2000. Chief Justice Sinha said the occasion not only symbolizes the passage of time but also celebrates the collective ideals, dedication, and integrity that have guided the institution since its inception. He highlighted that the High Court has made remarkable progress over the past 25 years by strengthening judicial processes and infrastructure and by adopting technological innovations to make justice more accessible and effective. The achievements of the judiciary, he emphasized, are measured not merely through statistics but through the people’s trust and confidence in it. The Chief Justice further said that the real strength of the institution lies in its judges, officers, employees, and advocates, whose discipline and dedication have enhanced the court’s stature. He also acknowledged the cooperation and mutual respect between the Bar and the Bench as key to maintaining the quality and credibility of justice. The event was also addressed by Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal and Justice Sanjay S. Agrawal.
