A woman in Pune filed a police complaint against her husband, accusing him of secretly recording her while she was bathing and threatening to leak the footage if she failed to bring more money from her family to pay car EMIs, the police said.
The incident took place in Ambegaon where the 30-year-old woman, who married in 2020, alleged in her complaint that she has been subjected to both mental and physical abuse.
She further told the police that her husband had filmed her during private moments and used the footage to pressure her into bringing ₹1.5 lakh from her parents’ home to cover car installment payments. Both the husband and wife are government employees, police confirmed.
A case has been registered against the husband and six others, the police said. Technical evidence, video footage and other details are currently being examined as part of the investigation.
