Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday met a delegation from Canada led by British Columbia Premier David Eby in Chandigarh, highlighting Punjab’s growing global appeal as an investment destination.

During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on strengthening cooperation in key sectors including agriculture, education, technology and other areas of mutual interest. The talks focused on exploring joint initiatives and long-term partnerships between Punjab and the Canadian province.

Chief Minister Mann briefed the delegation on Punjab’s investor-friendly policies and assured full support from the state government to facilitate investments. He emphasised the government’s commitment to creating a conducive ecosystem for international investors through policy support, infrastructure and administrative cooperation.

The Canadian delegation was also formally invited to participate in the Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit 2026, scheduled to be held in Mohali from March 13 to March 15, 2026. The summit aims to attract global investments and showcase Punjab’s economic potential across multiple sectors.
