Authorities, however, said that no suspicious or hazardous material was found at any of the sites after a thorough search.

An FIR has been registered based on a complaint filed by the ATS, and an investigation is underway to determine whether the letter was a hoax or a deliberate attempt to create panic.
A major security scare was triggered in Nagpur after an anonymous letter claimed that radioactive material had been planted at key locations, including the RSS headquarters and Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir.
According to police, the letter—written in English—was received by Nagpur Police Commissioner Ravinder Kumar Singal via post on April 27. The letter claimed that a radioactive material, identified as “Caesium-137", had been dispersed at the RSS headquarters in Mahal, the Smruti Mandir complex in Reshimbagh, and parts of the city’s metro premises.
The letter, purportedly sent by a group calling itself “DSS," also contained objectionable language directed at the RSS. It further claimed that detonators had been placed near Dosar Bhavan Chowk and described the act as a “warning," suggesting more serious actions could follow.
Taking the threat seriously, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) launched a comprehensive operation at all locations mentioned in the letter. Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and experts from the atomic energy department were also involved in the search.
Authorities, however, said that no suspicious or hazardous material was found at any of the sites after a thorough search.
An FIR has been registered based on a complaint filed by the ATS, and an investigation is underway to determine whether the letter was a hoax or a deliberate attempt to create panic.
The development comes days after detonators and gelatin sticks were recovered from an open space near the residence of Dr Ujjwal Lanjewar, located behind the Dosar Bhavan Metro Station. The anonymous letter claimed responsibility for that incident as well, calling it part of a larger plan.
Police are now probing the origin of the letter and the identity of those behind it.
