Heavy rains on Monday night (September 15, 2025) caused floods in Dehradun’s Sahastradhara area, damaging roads and requiring the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) to carry out rescue operations to help those left stranded. Two people were reported missing after floods hit the Uttarakhand district. The SDRF had to rescue over 100 people, including students of Devbhoomi institute.

Hyderabad is likely to experience light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday, September 16, according to a forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). In its impact-based forecast released on Tuesday morning, the IMD said the city would remain under generally cloudy skies, with rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds expected during the day. Mist or hazy conditions are very likely to prevail in the morning and night hours, the forecast said.

Heavy overnight rains pounded Himachal Pradesh, triggering floods and landslides that left three members of a family dead and submerged a bus stand in Mandi. The three were killed when a house collapsed following a landslide in Boi panchayat in Nehri area of Sundernagar subdivision in Mandi district.
