Raj Bhavan renamed Lok Bhavan in Mizoram

Aizawl: The governor’s official residence in Mizoram has been renamed Lok Bhavan, Mizoram, following a directive from the ministry of home affairs (MHA) and subsequent orders issued by the governor, according to an official announcement on Tuesday.The change was made in compliance with an MHA communication dated Nov 25, 2025, instructing the state govt to adopt the new nomenclature. With this, the long-used name Raj Bhavan, Mizoram, has officially been discontinued.All references to the governor’s residence — whether in govt correspondence, signage, or public communication — will henceforth use the name Lok Bhavan, Mizoram, the notification added.
