The news of the passing of K.S. Narayanasamy (Gopali), the acting coach who taught Rajinikanth at the film training college, has left the Tamil film world in mourning. He passed away yesterday morning (November 17), after failing health due to age.

Upon learning of the passing of Narayanasamy, who had been a mentor in his life, Rajinikanth immediately went to his residence in person to pay his last respects.

He personally expressed his condolences to the grieving family.

At the film training college run by the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, Gopali trained students in various aspects of the basics of acting and the need to live up to the character. He passed away at the age of 92 and lived in Mandaivel, Chennai.

It was not only Rajinikanth who was taught acting by Gopali; it is noteworthy that he was the acting master for many important stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Chiranjeevi, Nasser, Radha Ravi, etc.
