Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ to be his longest film so far, crosses the 3-hour mark

Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film 'Dhurandhar' has become the center of attention. Directed by Aditya Dhar, it reportedly runs over three hours, making it Ranveer’s longest film yet. The trailer, delayed from November 12 to November 18, also stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun.

‘Dhurandhar’ has become the center of everyone’s attention, with fans eagerly looking forward to its trailer release. Although it was originally slated to premiere on November 12, unforeseen developments last week led to its delay, and it will now drop on Tuesday, November 18.

With anticipation building to see if the trailer matches the buzz created by the teaser, reports indicate that, much like other recent big-ticket films, Dhurandhar’s runtime is on the longer side.

Director Aditya Dhar’s expansive vision

According to Bollywood Hungama, ‘Dhurandhar’ has a vast and expansive storyline. The focus is on Ranveer’s character and what he goes through, while there are also other actors who have a crucial part. Director Aditya Dhar is clear that he doesn’t want to rush through the narrative and at the same time, ensure that every scene engages and excites the audience.

At present, the final run time of ‘Dhurandhar’ is more than 3 hours.

It is somewhere around 3 hours and 5 minutes. The final duration, locked by Aditya Dhar, Jio Studios and B62 Studios, will be known in the next 10 days.

Ranveer Singh’s longest film yet

At a reported runtime of 185 minutes, ‘Dhurandhar’ could become the longest film ever led by Ranveer Singh. So far, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ (2015) has held that distinction with a duration of 2 hours and 51 minutes. Close behind are ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ (2023) at 2 hours and 48 minutes, and both ‘83’ (2021) and ‘Padmaavat’ (2018), which ran for 2 hours and 43 minutes each. Interestingly, Ranveer’s shortest outing remains ‘Kill Dil’ (2014), wrapping up in just 1 hour and 57 minutes.

Star-Studded ensemble cast

Joining Ranveer Singh in ‘Dhurandhar’ is a stellar lineup featuring Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. While most of the cast is set to grace the trailer unveiling on November 18, Sanjay and Akshaye are likely to skip the event.
