Relevant, credible news media commands value: Sridhar Arnala

Sridhar Arnala, vice-president, Sales and Distribution, The Hindu, emphasised the importance and role of media in the economic development of a society during an interactive session with the students of PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology in Vijayawada on Monday.

During the interaction, Mr. Sridhar Arnala shared his insights on media and business with the students. “While various news platforms have come up recently, what sets The Hindu apart is its commitment to accurate news reporting,” he He also highlighted the significant role played by The Hindu Group in dissemination of authentic news in South India.

In a world plagued by misleading and fake news, print media will remain relevant, thanks to its credibility, he added. He also discussed the challenges faced by retail advertisers in choosing media, the importance of understanding consumer psyche, and the future of print media.

Later, Mr. Sridhar Arnala talked about the need for continuous learning, the importance of discipline and perseverance in achieving success. He concluded by saying that students should learn to balance academic learning with practical exposure and should always be curious to learn new subjects.
