Just hours after returning from New Delhi on Wednesday, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy allocated portfolios to the three newly inducted ministers in his cabinet.
Gaddam Vivek has been given charge of Labour, Employment Training and Factories, as well as the Mining department.
Vakiti Srihari will handle Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, along with Sports and Youth Affairs.
Adluri Laxman Kumar has been entrusted with key social welfare portfolios, including Scheduled Castes Development, Tribal Welfare, Minorities Welfare, and the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
All the departments allocated to the three newly inducted ministers were previously held by Revanth Reddy. While he has now distributed some responsibilities, the Chief Minister continues to retain key portfolios, including Home, Law and Order, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, General Administration, and all other departments that remain unallocated.
The three leaders were sworn in on June 8 in a ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad, in the presence of Governor Vishnu Dev Varma and senior Congress leaders.
Reddy is said to have held discussions with All India Congeress Committee (AICC) leaders on the issue of cabinet expansion and allocation of portfolios during his visit to Delhi.
