Panaji: Revolutionary Goans (RG) has threatened a statewide agitation if all zone changes and land use alterations granted within Curca and Siridao villages under Section 39A of the town and country planning (TCP) department are not revoked by Oct 24.
Led by RG MLA Viresh Borkar, villagers and party workers staged a protest outside the TCP office to press their demand.Borkar demanded that TCP minister Vishwajit Rane scrap the Section 39A amendment that permits piecemeal correction of land parcels. He led a delegation to meet TCP chief town planner Vertika Dagur.“When the notification for zone change comes out, we find that 90% of the names are of people from other states. It is because of these outside builders, that hills are being destroyed,” Borkar said.
